In literature, symbolism is the use of a concrete image to represent an abstract idea.
While the cross, water, bread and wine are symbols at the centre of the Christian faith and practice, they are not the only symbols mentioned in the Bible. Many texts of the New Testament draw on symbolism from the Old Testament.
At its heart is Calvary, the place where Jesus died so we could be forgiven.

The gold color is the color of success, achievement, and triumph. The color of wealth and high status. It is associated with wealth, luxury, quality, reputation, sophistication, elegance. Golden is associated with the power of the Sun.
Exodus 36:34 AMP - "He overlaid the boards and the bars with gold and made their rings of gold as holders for the bars."
The spiritual meaning of purple symbolizes royalty, nobility, luxury, power and ambition. Purple promotes harmony of the mind and the emotions, contributing to mental balance and stability, peace of mind, a link between the spiritual and the physical worlds, between thought and activity. Purple is: Uplifting. Calming to mind and nerves.
Exodus 36:35 AMP - "Further, Bezalel made the veil of blue and purple and scarlet fabric, and fine twisted linen; he made it with cherubim, the work of an embroiderer."
Scarlet represents the blood of Christ. As a result, it is associated with religion, devotion, and sacrifice. Like most other bright red hues, scarlet is also associated with courage, passion, devotion and joy.
